These   series of paintings express traces of memory, thoughts, and feelings that remain from my various life experiences.   I travel through my work on a personal evolutionary process. During the creative process, a transcendental dialogue is established.

Throughout history many cultures have used geometric forms – such as yantras, mandalas, circles, spirals, ladders and labyrinths –  as symbols and vehicles to go deep within to search for greater knowledge and wisdom.  These forms, which have also been used in ritual practices by spiritual healers, are constantly present in my paintings. The bandages added to the canvas symbolize ritual healing, which is the fundamental concept behind my work.  I use these elements to express my experiences, my questions, my findings, and the answers I receive.

In this series, my paintings describe an evolutionary path in which each moment in life gives form to a new plane.  Physical, mental and spiritual planes are transcended to form new planes on higher levels. As each plane transcends, it is embedded by the next plane, and the process continues on and on.

Blurred and abstract planes are also found as elements in my work, and symbolize the many doubts and arbitrary situations that are necessary to experience, transcend, and reach higher levels of consciousness.  The center point of each painting is the union of all the planes: Light, which contains all the planes and is the  final answer.

The images in my paintings are intended to awaken deep reflections within.
